Our Mission

Equipping And Empowering Communities To Save Lives.

This is our promise. In a moment of crisis, the most critical help often comes from the person standing right next to you. At the Wild West Outdoor Adventure Foundation, we are driven by the simple belief that anyone can be a lifesaver. Our entire organization is built around placing the right tools and the right training into the hands of individuals in the communities that need them most.

The Minutes That Matter

When an emergency strikes—a sudden cardiac arrest, a severe injury, or an overdose—the clock starts ticking. The time between the incident and the arrival of professional medical help is the most critical window for survival. In many of the rural and underserved communities we serve, the wait for an ambulance can be significantly longer than the national average, with some waiting nearly 30 minutes for help to arrive.1

This is where our work begins. We know that immediate intervention from a bystander can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival from cardiac arrest.2 We know that basic first aid skills can prevent a manageable injury from becoming a life-threatening one. The gap between “what if” and “what is” is filled by a prepared community.

Our Three-Part Approach

1. We Collect and Repurpose Lifesaving Supplies.

Medical supplies often go unused and are discarded, creating waste. We partner with individuals, hospitals, and organizations to collect unexpired, surplus first aid and medical equipment. By reclaiming these vital resources, we ensure that nothing goes to waste and everything finds a purpose.

2. We Distribute Equipment Where It’s Needed Most.

A first aid kit does no good on a shelf. We work directly with community leaders and local organizations in Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina to distribute these collected supplies at no cost. From comprehensive trauma kits for community centers to individual first aid and Narcan kits for families, our goal is to ensure resources are accessible when and where an emergency happens.

3. We Provide Confidence Through No-Cost Training.

A tool is only as effective as the person using it. We remove all barriers to education by offering essential, no-cost emergency training courses, including First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Narcan Administration. Our certified instructors provide hands-on, practical skills that empower everyday people to act decisively and effectively in a crisis.

Turning Bystanders into Lifesavers

Our mission is not just about supplies and skills; it’s about fostering a culture of preparedness and resilience. It’s about empowering a neighbor to help a neighbor. It’s about building a network of care that makes every community stronger, safer, and more self-reliant. Every kit we distribute and every person we train is another link in a chain of survival that protects us all.
